Rising damp is a natural but destructive phenomenon in any building. It causes major problems in both interior and exterior walls.
Moisture from the subsoil rises up the wall and penetrates the building materials, damaging the masonry and the paint layer.
However, at proPERLA® we have the best solution against rising damp throughout Axarquia.
Rising damp affects many single-family dwellings, because they all share a common element: they are built at ground level.
If they are built with porous materials, it is easier for moisture to penetrate them. In addition, this type of moisture contains mineral salts, which accelerates the destructive effect.
The damage is not only visible (damage to wallpaper, plaster, paint, etc.) but also costly to repair.
At proPERLA®, our applicators are always available to inspect your property and proffer the best solution to the issue.
What does the treatment consist of?
The best solution is to inject a cream into the wall to create a horizontal damp-proof membrane.
The treatment serves to prevent problems caused by damp. If the damp is already in the wall, the damp dried out, the injections made and the affected façade rehabilitated.
The cream is injected through small perforations made in the wall at ground level. The cream spreads through the wall, forming a barrier that prevents water from rising.
