Case Study: Villa Shiro – Marbella

The month of March 2022 will be a moment that will remain in the memory of many Andalusians forever, especially those from Malaga and the inhabitants of the Costa del Sol.

From Monday 14th until the end of the month, all the streets, buildings and vehicles in the province of Malaga (and others in Andalusia) were covered with dust and sand from the Sahara desert.

The images were spectacular: the sky was completely orange because of the sand and dust in suspension, public buildings with a different colour, neighbours cleaning their houses and businesses, etc. And if we add to all this a rain of mud, the effect was intensified even more, which caused an even greater prolongation of the consequences.

Here you can see some images of those days.

Was your home affected by the calima? See what happened to this Marbella villa

The calima affected all buildings equally: blocks of flats, single-family dwellings, commercial premises, public offices, etc.

Each of them, to a greater or lesser extent, suffered the consequences of the haze.

In this post we would like to tell you about one of the clients of our exterior house paint: a luxury villa in the town of Marbella in Malaga.

This house was one more of those affected by the effects of the haze, as you can see in the pictures.

The person who contacted us was in charge of the sale of this property and was surprised that the property had just been painted and a few weeks later the house was completely stained with dirt.

Our response was very clear: the builders had used the wrong paint which had no water repellent properties against water and dirt, hence the façade was completely stained.

Water-repellent paints are very little known by architects and builders, so you can now understand why the whole of Malaga is still stained by the haze.

After applying the proPERLA® water-repellent paint, the result was as follows.

If you look at the before and after photos, you can see that the client was delighted with the result.
